Island of my birth.
I remember clear blue skies
reflecting the glistening pristine water,
warm humid sticky air,
hot, dry and gentle,
friendly, carefree people
who talks in a song
makes me feel blue...
makes me long...
Cebu ...
I ran away from you all the time
seeking greener pastures in a foreign land
but everytime I return the truth sinks deeper
that I belong to you...
and you belong to me.
It has become clear to me
no matter how much I try to shake you off my skin,
